My parents came for a short visit and much needs to be said, but one of the most surprising things was discovering the Missions. San Antonio has several, the most famous being the Alamo.
On one overcast and drizzly day we found our way around the Mission trails and enjoyed a little Texas history.
One more thing to add to the "places to visit" list for potential visitors. You should come check them out. Hotel Tovar is always open.

i tried visiting Hotel Tovar, but it was the wrong hotel tovar!!! lol
I definitely, definitely plan on seeing the Alamo.
