Darth Vader

Though we should keep clear of the darkside, Tiago and Mia have a strange fascination with the Star Wars movies. Tiago can be heard singing Darth Vader's theme song frequently and was even sung for an Aunt instead of the birthday song.

So when my mom made a gorilla tape replica of me*, Tiago sweetly asked "Grandma, why are you taping up my mommy in that thing? It looks like Darth Vader."
Why would you want such a beast?

Well, nothing says made for you when the clothes are a perfect fit for an imperfect body. I found out that I am totally lopsided for one and I figure I will use that as blame for my ill fitting clothes. Here what will come of such darkness: (my sister's creations on her "Charlotte" aka her version of Darth Vader)

Thanks mom for being so eager to help me look gorgeous or at least well tailored. You are more then wonderful.

*a long process involving much gorilla and duct tape along with scissors to cut you out and a pillow to stuff your form perched onto some plastic tubing

What's New With Mia

Besides starting the First Grade and loving life with Ms. Kleeberg. Besides becoming a violin student as well as a soccer girl complete with synagogues. (a slight misnomer due to a lesson about biblical places of worship the day before we purchased shin guards).

She officially joined the ranks of most first graders and lost a tooth. It happened almost a month ago, but that is what happens when you fall behind in blogging. Her new tooth has come in so fast that it could have gone unnoticed.

Three Weeks Condensed Into One Post

One might ask how 3 weeks could fit into one post, well make those 3 weeks of lazy hosting and BAM! you have a short post. My poor sister got the tail end of a slew of visitors and I was plumb out of ideas. Ok, really I am not so good as hosting people even when there is a lot to do. Nevertheless, there was fun to be had. For example:

FHE/SCRIPTURE STUDY while playing on monkey bars at Mia's school.

Enjoying a hands on Museum before a rainstorm.

Getting free Chick-fil-a sandwiches for dressing in our Favorite College Shirts.

Driving to and from the gym and other day to day errands!

I am glad that my sister Emily had a little more oomph then I had because we got to a whole lot more then I would have done. Like:

Make believe in Mini Town

Rock Climb at the gym

And celebrate b-days and school and time together

In any case, I realized that I need to explore this area more for any potential visitors who may come at a future date. That way San Antonio could be showcased in a better way. Thanks for the adventures and giggles and patience Woidkas.
